Bulk redirect checker

Check up to 100 URLs at once. Paste a list or drop a CSV, optionally with the destination each URL should reach, and get status, hop count, final URL and a pass/fail for every row.

0 / 100 URLs

The first column is the URL to test; an optional second column is the expected final URL. A header row is skipped automatically. URLs are checked three at a time.

Validating a migration redirect map

Before launch day, export your old URLs (from the sitemap, analytics landing pages and the top linked pages in your backlink tool) with the new URL each should reach. Paste both columns here after the redirects go live. A row passes only when the chain ends at the expected URL with a 200 and uses permanent codes. Rows that land on the homepage, a 404 or the wrong page are flagged as mismatches.

Trailing slashes and letter case matter: /Page and /page/ are different URLs to a server, so a mismatch on those is real and worth fixing in your rules, not in the spreadsheet.

What counts as a problem

  • Chain: more than one redirect before the final page.
  • Temporary: a 302, 303 or 307 where a permanent move was meant.
  • Error: final status 4xx or 5xx, DNS or TLS failure, timeout, a loop or more than 10 hops.
  • Mismatch: the final URL differs from the expected one you supplied.

Results stay in this browser (localStorage) so you can reload the page without losing them; clear them on the privacy page or by emptying the list.

Questions

How many URLs can I check at once?

Up to 100 per run. Larger lists can be split into batches of 100; there is a fair-use limit of about 150 checks per 10 minutes per visitor.

What CSV format does it accept?

Any text or CSV file where the first column is the URL and the optional second column is the expected final URL. Commas, semicolons and tabs all work, and a header row is skipped.

Can I export the results?

Yes. Download CSV gives you the URL, expected URL, full status chain, redirect count, final URL, final status, total time and the verdict for every row.

Does it check HTTP status codes for pages that do not redirect?

Yes. A URL that answers directly shows its status (200, 404, 410, 500 and so on), so the tool doubles as a bulk HTTP status checker.
